Alliance Spacesystems, LLC was formed July 1, 2006 through the merger of the former Alliance Spacesystems, Inc. (ASI) of Pasadena, CA and Vision Composites of Signal Hill, CA. Now, as Alliance Spacesystems, the company is a leading provider of mechanical systems engineering, custom design and fabrication in composites structures, robotics and mechanisms, and mechanical analyses for systems operating in extreme environments. Alliance Spacesystems’ innovative products are in use on interplanetary spacecraft, telecommunications and scientific satellites and in many challenging terrestrial applications.

Alliance Spacesystems’ two founding companies, ASI and Vision, share similar histories.  Each was established in 1997.  ASI was created by engineers from the famed Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) jpl.nasa.gov.  ASI’s founders assembled a staff whose combined experience represented more than 300 work years in mechanical system design and fabrication of spacecraft, science instruments and related aerospace hardware.

In 2002, ASI spun off a division as a separate company.  Bluebeam Software, Inc., also of Pasadena, which develops and commercializes software meeting the unique needs of architects and engineers http://www.bluebeam.com

Vision Composites was founded by engineers from aerospace leader TRW, Inc., in 1997, in response to a significant shift by major satellite manufacturers towards outsourcing of their production requirements in composite-based structures. Vision Composites, Inc. became a leader in full-service manufacturing of precision composite-based products.  The company earned wide recognition in the aerospace industry for its fresh and innovative product solutions provided by an experienced staff with hands-on expertise in the major aerospace disciplines of structure fabrication.
